We judge by passing events that the hard times are teaching the young people that it is more economical to live together. As one Benedict said, his livery and confectionary bills were less.
The wedding of our young friends in Haynes was an occasion of much merriment, participated in by three generations, which about filled the house.
The bride and groom received numerous presents and congratulation, which, together with land and youth and love, will go far in enabling them to make a home for themselves. There was a tinge of sadness and an occasional tear would break through all efforts to conceal it, both on the part of the parents as they gave away their last daughter, and on the part of the bride as she realized that she must leave the dear associations of the old home, father, mother and brothers, and begin a new home.
May prosperity and joy attend them in their new venture in life, is the wish of their numerous friends.
