Mrs. ROBERT RITCHIE.
This aged and respected lady passed away very quietly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Hastings, at Henry Station on Dec. 2d. Deceased has been ailing from advancing years and a complication of diseases which culminated in dropsy.
Deceased was born in Ireland in 1823. She leaves four children to mourn the loss of an upright devoted parent, viz: Mrs. James Johnson, Mrs. Robert Hastings and Geo. S. and Wm. Ritchie. The Rev. Austin preached the funeral sermon and Chas. Mayo of Harrisville, undertaker, conducted the funeral.
The concourse of friends of the family filled the church to overflowing. There was a goodly number from Harrisville, Hawse and West Harrisville. The interment took place Sunday, Dec. 4, in the Haynes Township cemetery.
There were five school teachers present, to-wit: Miss Redhouse, Miss McArthur, Mr. Holmes, Mr. Stuart and Mr. Myers. Also Jos. Yuill and sister, Geo. Ward Sr. and lady, Wm. Gray and lady and others from Harrisville; Alex Savage and others from Mud Lake Jc.
