EARLY RESIDENTS OF COUNTY PASS AWAY
Mrs. Harry Elmer, Mrs. Harriet McArthur, Pioneers, Pass Away
Mrs. Harriett McArthur died at the home of her daughter Mrs. James Miller, at Harrisville, where she had been living for some time, last Thursday, after an illness of long duration.
Mrs. McArthur was born September 10, 1858, and had lived in this county for half a century, living in Haynes township, until poor health forced her to leave her home there and live with her daughter.
One son and two daughters survive. These are: William McArthur of Haynes, Mrs. Robt. Vennard of Chinnook, Alberta, and Mrs. James Miller of Harrisville.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Harrisville Presbyterian church, Rev. Boyce officiating. Interment took place in Mt. Joy cemetery in Haynes.
