HEAT FATAL TO HARRISVILLE MAN
John Martin, Heart Malady Victim, Dies of Heat Exhaustion Friday
John Martin, aged 42, of Harrisville, died Friday of heart trouble, as the result of heat exhaustion.
Mr. Martin had been a sufferer from heart trouble for several years, and the extreme heat prevailing for several days during the latter part of last week, induced heat exhaustion which proved fatal.
Mr. Martin was born April 27, 1884 in Haynes Township, and was engaged in farming until about seven years ago, when the heart malady from which he suffered, forced him to retire from farming. He then moved to Harrisville, and at the time of his death operated a service station.
He was married in Harrisville on June 18, 1907 to Miss Edith La Chapelle, who, together with one son and three daughters, survive him.

Relatives from outside attending the funeral were Mrs. Grace Ferguson of the Canada Northwest, Mrs. John Barber of Onaway, sisters, Mrs. James Martin of Alpena, mother, and Wm. Milligan, an uncle, of Onaway.
