NEARLY HALF CENTURY
Charles Clark, aged 76, and a resident of Haynes Township for 46 years, died suddenly Sunday morning at his home in that place.
Mr. Clark was sitting in a chair playing with his grandchildren when he suddenly collapsed. Death was caused by heart trouble and was instantaneous.
Deceased was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and came to this country when a young man. After a stay in Port Huron, he came to this county in the late seventies. He was married in 1868 to Elizabeth Miller, who survives him, as do two sons, Henry of Haynes and William of Rogers, and four daughters, Mrs. Bessie Armstrong of Haynes, Mrs. Anna Genge of Onaway, Mrs. Ida Landon of Alberta, and Mrs. Lulu Hetherington of Ontario.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the home, Rev. C. M. Boyce officiating. Burial at Mt. Joy cemetery.
