Dearest husband thou hast left me,
Never more we'll meet on earth;
But I trust that I will meet you
In that place of peace and rest.

Oh! How very much I miss you.
Miss you daily more and more;
But I know that you're in heaven
Walking on the golden shore.

Husband, dear, our home is lonely
For thy presence loved so well;
But I am contented, knowing
That in Jesus you now dwell.

Young widow cease your weeping.
It is wrong to weep for him;
He has gone to be with Jesus,
In that place that's free from pain.

Do not let your heart be troubled.
Neither let it be dismayed;
Trust in Jesus, Jesus only.
You need never be dismayed.
