THOMAS O'DONOHUE.
This well-known citizen died Tuesday just before noon. His illness from rheumatism had been long and wasting, as he had been confined to the house since last January and for several months has not been able to leave his bed. His suffering was intense and death came as a welcome relief, though the loving hands of his devoted wife and daughter did everything possible for him.
Deceased was born at Percy, lower Canada, Feb. 8, 1832. He followed the life of a seafaring man until 1881, when he came to Harrisville. Since then he has followed the life of a woodsman and has worked steadily for Alger, Smith & Co., except when incapacitated by illness.
Four children survive, two having died. The survivors are Mrs. Andrew Nevin of Floodwood, Minn., Mrs. Aleck Conture of Manistique, Mich., Michael O'Donohue of Bayfield, Wis., Maggie O'Donohue of Harrisville.
The remains will be buried tomorrow morning in the Catholic cemetery, deceased being a devout Catholic.
The family extend their warm thanks to their neighbors who have been unremitting in their kindness.
