Neighbors and friends of Mrs. Joseph Ritchie, Hawes Township, were shocked to hear of her sudden death at 12:30 o'clock Friday morning. Death resulted from Hemmorrage of the Brain.
Clara Tacia was born in Alcona, February 15, 1888, and had spent her entire life in this county. In 1908 she married Joseph Ritchie and they made their home on a farm in Hawes Township.
To this union were born five children, all of whom are living. They are Herman of Flint; Joseph of Harrisville; Howard, Floyd and Alice at home.
Other surviving relatives are the mother, Mrs. Joseph Tacia, of Haynes. Three sisters, Mrs. Paul Klebba of Rogers City; Mrs. Bert Benford of Port Huron; Mrs. Robert Armstrong of Haynes; Three brothers, Harvey of Detroit; John of Haynes; and Frank of Gustin; and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held from the M. E. Church at Lincoln, Sunday afternoon, Rev. W. E. Hall officiating with burial in the Lincoln Cemetery.
