WEDDING BELLS
Rasche--Miller
Black River, June 24--The social event of the season at Black River was the wedding Tuesday morning of Miss Velma Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Miller, and Joseph N. Rasche, son of Jos. Rasche. The ceremony was performed at 9:00 o'clock in St. Gabriel's church by Rev. Fr. Houle. The bride wore a gown of white satin trimmed with dewdrop lace and carried white carnations. Mrs. Charles Charlifour acted as matron of honor and Mr. Charlifour was groomsman.
After the ceremony an elaborate wedding breakfast was served at the Rasche home, followed by a reception which continued throughout the day. In the evening the guests, about two hundred in number, were entertained at dancing in the Northern Hotel, music being furnished for the occasion by an Alpena orchestra.
The bride and groom are both popular, and have the best wishes of our community.
