On January 10th, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Beaton, lifelong residents of Haynes Township, observed their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Beaton, (Sarah Fettes) were married at the present home in Haynes Township by Rev. Smith of Black River, and were attended by the late William Fettes and Margaret Clark. On Monday, January 10th, their daughter, Mrs. Chas. E. Cook, surprised her parents with a party at her home. Attending the party were: Mr. and Mrs. Noble Ferguson, Wm. R. Barber, Mrs. Eugene Byce, Mr. and Mrs. John Beaton and daughter, Margaret, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Potvin and Mr. and Mrs. William Beaton. The happy couple was given a purse. The Review joins their many friends in wishing them many more years of married life. Mr. and Mrs. Beaton have four children: Mrs. Chas. Cook and John Beaton of Haynes and Mrs. Clarence Herweyer, (Jessie), and Mrs. George Christian, (Gertrude) both of Flint, Michigan.
