Description of winter logging.

County Reviewings
The extensive lumbering operations of Alger & Co., in this vicinity, during the past winter, are visible in the mammoth pile of logs now lying on the banks of Lake Huron, eastern part of this village. These logs were cut from the Company's tract of pine situated some three to four miles back from the lake, and were drawn to the beach by means of a horse-railway, constructed sometime since. There are over 10,000,000 feet of these logs, and they will be rafted and toted to another clime as soon as the weather permits.
