Freak lightning strike.

Curious Freak of Lightning.--During the storm of Wednesday afternoon of last week, the lightning penetrated the house of Mr. Geo. W. LaChapelle and tore the wood cover of a sewing machine to atoms. No portion of the building was injured save two or three clap-boards on the outside. No marks of injury to the plastered walls or ceiling upon the interior of the house were noticeable, and it is a mystery how the machine cover should be effectually demolished and no visible hurt come the interior of the building. Mrs. L. was in the cellar when the work was done.
