Thomas Miller of Haynes Succumbs to Attack of Erysipelas
Thomas Miller of Haynes, for the past thirty six years, a resident of Alcona County, is dead at his home in Haynes, after an illness of less than two weeks. Death was caused by erysipelas.
Deceased was born in Port Huron, Michigan, 58 years ago, residing there until his twenty second year, removing here at that time. He was married in Port Huron, Mrs. Miller passing away twenty eight years ago. He was again married to Miss Rebecca Thorner of Haynes, who survives him, in 1887.
Besides the widow, three children survive him: Mrs. Wm. Beever of Harrisville, James Miller of Harrisville, and Thomas Miller, Jr. who lived at the family home.
The funeral was held from the home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. C. M. Boyce officiating, and the remains laid at rest in the Mount Joy cemetery.
