Run Aground.
The schr. Kate Richmond, of Port Huron, while attempting to leave Jas. Beard & Co's dock at Alcona, lumber laden, had the misfortune to run aground on the reef off that place at 6 p.m. Saturday last. The crew at Sturgeon Point went to their relief, and after several hours of hard labor in shifting part of her deck load, they succeeded in heaving her off with the cage anchor and windlass, and, after putting things to rights in general, aboard, hoisting sail and managing the vessel clear of the reef to deep water, they "pulled for the shore" with the life boat.
