Improvements to the Davison store.
Improvements to C. Davison & Son's Store.
As we previously stated, the store of C. Davison & Son, in this village, has been undergoing new improvements of a material nature. The second story has been handsomely finished off--ceiled, painted, etc., and the north side of the large room has been handsomely arranged with counters, shelving, small drug drawers, etc., to be used exclusively for the department of drugs and medicines. The south side of the room is also to be fitted up, in a similar manner, for a furnishing goods department. The firm proposes to employ a practical pharmacist to take charge of the drug and prescription department, who will be made from the outside, so that the same may be entered when the other departments of the store are closed. The work of fitting up this second story was done in a superior manner--the carpenter work being performed by Frank Blanchard and the painting by W. G Rochon. Mr. W. H. Davison goes below soon to purchase goods for the new department; also new goods for all departments of the store.
