Mrs. Frank Somers Dies From Heart Attack
Mrs. Frank Somers of Haynes, was taken by death at ten o'clock Monday morning at the Alpena General Hospital. She had been in poor health for about two years, but was taken ill of a heart ailment a week before her death, and was entered in the hospital.
Mrs. Somers was Blanche Lillian Wildes before her marriage. She was born in Lakeport, Michigan, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wildes, on January 27, 1878. In her younger years she lived in Oscoda and later attended Harrisville School, making her home with the Thos. Green family. Her marriage to Frank Somers of Haynes took place in AuSable, on May 2, 1916. They built a new home on their farm in Haynes, where they have lived for the past thirty years.
She was a member of the Haynes Presbyterian Ladies Aid.
Surviving are her husband and four step-sons, Clifford Somers of Plymouth, Michigan; Harold Somers of South Lyons, Michigan; Lester Somers and Ervin Somers of Harrisville. There are twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at two o'clock, from the Haynes Presbyterian Church. Rev. Howard Webster will officiate, and burial will take place in Mt. Joy Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roy Campbell, Ainsey Jack, James Armstrong, Alex Yuill, John Beaton and Owen Webb.
