ROLLAND LUEBBEN
LINCOLN--The funeral for Rolland G. Luebben, 77, of Black River was today at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, with the Rev. Charles Klinksick officiating. Mr. Luebben died Friday (June 30) at Alpena General Hospital.
He was born Dec. 28, 1911, in Toledo and moved to Black River in 1946. An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Luebben was employed as a commercial fisherman until 1957 and later worked as a logger. In 1948, he married Christena Craner.
He was a former member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Toledo.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rolland Jr. of Bay City and Thomas of Black River; three daughters, Anna Hermon of Houston, Texas, Helen Bedell of Bay City and Dorothy Gibbs of Gulliver; two stepsons, Lavern Yax of Flint; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Kathern Miller of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and Helen Freeman and Dorothy Babiuch, both of Toledo.
Interment: Mount Joy Cemetery.
