A new regulation of the life saving service requires that all men in the service shall be full citizens of the United States. It happens that only two of the Sturgeon Pointe crew, viz. A. Silverthorn and L. Cardy, Jr., filled the bill in this respect. All the others, including Captain Henderson, went up to Alpena this week and court being in session Tuesday they were equipped with the credentials of full fledged citizens. They also received their examinations at the same time. The crew will comprise the same men as last year.
