DEATH TAKES FATHER OF SPRUCE WOMAN
Thomas Charles Trask was a Pioneeer in Eastern Huron County.
Thomas Charles Trask, father of Mrs. George S. Snowden of Spruce, died last Wednesday at his home in Sand Beach Township, Huron County. The following obituary is taken from the Harbor Beach Times of last week.
Thomas Charles Trask was born September 3, 1847, at Killsbury, Ont., and died March 22, 1916 at his farm home near this city, aged 68 years, 5 months and 22 days.
He was married to Elizabeth Alice Dean, September 29, 1870, and united with the Wesleyan Methodist church at Alma, Ont., the following year.
He was an honest, industrious, upright man, whose life was dedicated to his home and family; a loving husband and kind father.
He leaves to mourn his loss, a devoted wife and five children, the Rev. O. W. Trask, Corunna; Mrs. Irving Quackenbush, West Branch; Mrs. George Snowden, Spruce; Mrs. Mary Affeldt, Detroit; Charles O. Trask, Port Huron; and many friends and neighbors by whom he was highly respected.
The funeral will be held at the residence, Friday afternoon at 1:30. Rev. F. G. Johnson of the local M. E. Church will officiate, interment in Rock Falls Cemetery.
