FORMER CURTIS LADY
DIES NEAR COLEMAN, MICH.
--------
Death Follows Operation--Husband is Supervisor of Warren Twp.
--------
Coleman Independent:
Mrs. Mary DaFoe, wife of Supervisor Herbert DaFoe of Warren township, passed away Sunday morning, her death resulting from an operation at Bay City Hospital.
Besides her husband the deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Alice Stuber and Miss Stella of Coleman and son Herbert DaFoe, residing in this city. The funeral was held Wednesday morning at ten o'clock at Coleman.
Mr. DaFoe is a man held in high esteem in his township which has re-elected him supervisor, and his growing acquaintance in this city and township has won for him an ever increasing circle of friends, who now join in sending sympathy for the bereaved husband and family.
Relatives and friends from out of town who attended the funeral at the home were father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marshall of Canada, brother, Archie Marshall of Detroit, Mrs. Wesley Beemer and Frank Beemer of Brown City.
Resolutions
Whereas, in His infinite wisdom our Heavenly Father has seen fit to take from our midst our esteemed sister, Mrs. H. DaFoe,
Resolved, that we, members of the Coleman Grange No. 1226, extend our heartfelt sympathy to Brother DaFoe and family;
That this memorial be spread on the Grange records, and a copy sent to the bereaved family.
Sister DaFoe was a home-maker in the truest sense of the word, no higher praise can be given to women.
Friend after friend departs,
who hath not lost a friend?
There is no union here of hearts,
that has not here an end.
But faith holds the dying here,
translated to that glorious sphere.
Mrs. F. H. Clarke,
Mrs. C. Mainprize,
Mrs. R. Burns.
