FORMER CITIZEN DEAD.
--------
Thos. W. Boardman Passed to the Silent Majority.
--------
The funeral of the late Thomas W. Boardman was held yesterday at the Methodist church, Rev. A. J. Joslin conducting the services. Many friends of the deceased, both from this city and down Sound points were present. Burial took place in Odd Fellows cemetery. Thomas W. Boardman was born in Old Town, Maine, March 26, 1860. At the age of 15 he removed to Michigan where he was employed in the postal service. From there he went to Central and South America where he amassed and lost a fortune and was compelled to return north on account of ill health. He came to the state of Washington several years ago and for a time made his home in Olympia. Recently he had been living in Seattle and working for an electrical company. His wife is a daughter of Rev. Glidden of Bush Prairie. For the many kindnesses and aid of their friends the family wishes to acknowledge their heartfelt appreciation.--Olympia Recorder.
The subject of the above sketch was at one time a resident of Harrisville and was mail agent on the Bay City-Alpena line of boats that carried the mail in early days. The Boardman family are well remembered by the residents of twenty years ago, and many of the deceased's schoolmates are still in Harrisville, and many others are readers of the Review at different places throughout the United States. Mr. Boardman died of Bright's disease.
