Mrs. Robert McClatchey passed away at her late home in this village Monday afternoon, Oct. 19.
Deceased had been ill for more than a year from a complication of diseases, and last week she suffered a stroke of paralysis, since when her death has been expected at any moment.
Nancy Noyes was born in Detroit, Mich., 68 years ago the 24th day of last April. On August 7th, 1856, she became the wife of Robert McClatchey, who still lives to mourn her departure after 47 years of happy married life. They came to Harrisville in 1882. In the year 1889 deceased united with the M. E. church, which she was a consistent member until her death.
Five children, all grown to man's and woman's estate, and respected members of the communities in which they live, survive. They are Abram and Moses McClatchey, and Mrs. J. W. Anderson of Harrisville, Mrs. Geo. Pratt of Detroit and Albert McClatchey of Bay City. Besides these there is a brother, John Wood, and a sister, Mrs. Frank LaChapelle, living.
The funeral was held from the M. E. church Wednesday afternoon and was largely attended. The interment took place at the West cemetery.
