TWO POPULAR PEOPLE WED.
--------
The following clipping is from a Spokane, Wash., newspaper. The groom is our own John Smith, formerly of Shore Market, and well known to everybody in Harrisville and the surrounding country. The Review joins with the many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes.
"Mr. John G. Smith of Harrisville, Mich., and Miss Loretta A. Cooney of Butte, Montana, were united in marriage at Spokane, Wash., Monday morning, July 17th, in the Church of 'Our Lady of Lourds." The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Verhagen, pastor of that church.
"After the ceremony the bridal party proceeded to the Hotel Davenport, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was served.
"The bride is a well known and popular young lady of Butte, Mont., and spent all but three years of her life in that place. Having graduated with high honors from high school there, she entered into the business world and held some of the most responsible positions as stenographer. She was employed for over a year in the advertising department at Hennessy's, one of the largest stores in the West.
"Mr. Smith is very well known throughout the state of Michigan, and has held positions of trust for some of the largest meat firms in that state. He came West four years ago, and spent three years in Butte, Montana, where he was employed as manager of a market for McCarthy and Choquette until January last, when he went to Spokane, where his is now the sole owner of a large meat market on Ash st.
"The happy couple left on the evening train for Portland, and before returning will visit Seattle.
