More on the death of Sarah A. [Fitch] Byce.
OBITUARY

The following sketch was read by Rev. E. Draper at the funeral of the late Mrs. Daniel Byce:
Sarah Ann Fitch was born at Port Burville, Ont., Sept. 4, 1846, and departed this life Dec. 22, 1906, being at the time of her death 60 years, 3 months and 18 days old. She came to Michigan about 1865 and was married to Daniel Byce the same year, residing in Memphis, Mich., at that time. Shortly afterwards they came to Iosco county, residing there until 1878, coming to Harrisville the spring of the following year where she has resided ever since. She was the mother of 10 children, of whom 5 have passed away to the better land and 5 remain, all residents of this place: Frank W., Fred S., Charles M., M. Leroy and Jesse P., also husband, Daniel Byce, who are left to mourn the loss of a loving wife, a kind and loving parent, besides a host of relatives and friends.
