Mary Bell Stewart Passes Away at The Home of Her Parents
--------
Mary Bell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Stewart, passed peacefully away Thursday afternoon, May 18th, at five o'clock at the home of her parents in Harrisville township.
The young lady had been ailing for five or six weeks but she never complained and her condition was not thought to be serious. She returned home from Detroit Tuesday evening but grew steadily worse. At 12 o'clock Wednesday night she passed into a state of unconsciousness, from which she never aroused.
Mary Bell was born twenty-three years ago last November in Harrisville township, where she always made her home. She was a loving daughter and sister, and the family are stricken with grief.
She leaves to mourn, an invalid father, mother, four sisters and two brothers, namely: Mrs. Wm. Mills of Alpena, Flora, Hattie, Edythe, Will and Angus of Harrisville.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Ann's church by Rev. Fr. Bouchard. Four brothers Joseph, John, Alex and James McGillis, cousins of the deceased, acted as pall bearers, the remains being laid at rest in the Catholic cemetery.
