DELORMY DEACON
Delormy Deacon, thirty-seven years a resident of Curtis township, died Thursday, October 1st, at his home there. He had been in poor health for some time.
Mr. Deacon was born March 6, 1841, in West Port, Ontario, and was married in 1861 to Mary E. Batton. During his long residence in Curtis he was prominent in township matters and at different times held the offices of supervisor and treasurer. Besides the widow, who is an invalid, three of their five children survive, two sons and a daughter. There are also three brothers and eleven grandchildren.
The funeral services were held Saturday, being in charge of Rev. Thompson. The following acted as pall bearers, namely: Charles and William Wallace, Wm. McNickle, George Minche, Earl Allison and Fred Thompson.
