IN MEMORIAM
The above is a picture of the monument erected as part of the Memorial Day decorations at Harrisville.
The monument attracted a great deal of attention and the wish was freely expressed that something permanent of this nature might be erected to the memory of the boys who gave up their lives in the late war.
The names of the 22 Alcona county boys who made the supreme sacrifice were printed on the monument. They are:
