Haynes Farmer Dies At Advanced Age of 77 Years

Archie Campbell, 77, passed away Saturday morning at his farm home in Haynes township, of heart trouble.
Mr. Campbell was born Nov. 4, 1847, in East Oxbpry, Glengary, Ont., and came to Alcona county in 1869. Two years later he homesteaded the land which is now the farm where he died and in 1885, July 6, he was united in marriage with Frances Armstrong, who with ten children--five sons and five daughters--survive. The children are: John and Frances, at home; William, Robert and George, Detroit; Sheridan, Alpena county; Mrs. Erma Carlson, Detroit; Mrs. Sarah Wilcox, Springwells; Mrs. Elsie Guinther, of Flint; and Mrs. Catherine Ritchie of Harrisville.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Harrisville M. E. church, Rev. G. W. Hawley officiating. Interment was made at the West cemetery.
