HUBBARD LAKE.
Ruben Walker, 77, passed away some time Wednesday night, May 19. He lived alone near the river bank on the road leading to Alpena. That day and evening he was apparently in his accustomed health, and in the evening sat outside his home playing his accordion until quite late. The next day there were no signs of life about the place and when children called in at supper time, they found him in bed, dead. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in our little church, Rev. Mulkin, pastor, paying his last tribute in glowing terms to the character of the departed. Burial was held at Hubbard Lake cemetery.
