JOHN DICKINSON DIES IN DETROIT MARINE HOSPITAL

The body of John Dickinson arrived in Harrisville Wednesday from Detroit, where he died Saturday in Marine Hospital. The remains were accompanied by a son, John Dickinson, Jr.
Mr. Dickinson lived here during lumbering days and was a cook in the camps of this and adjacent counties. He left about 20 years ago and followed cooking on the lake steamers. He was a member of Oscoda lodge of Odd Fellows.
Mrs. Dickinson died in 1930. There are four daughters and one son, John Jr., of Pontiac surviving. The daughters are Mrs. Gladys McHaney and Mrs. Blanche Lambert of Auburn Heights, Mrs. Marvel Wethy of Pontiac and Mrs. Hazel Wagoner of Mikado. He also leaves a brother and two sisters, Wm. of Detroit, Mrs. Edgar Travis of Mikado and Mrs. Nettie Apsey of Bay City.
Funeral services were held from Carle’s funeral parlors, Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. C. M. Boyce officiated, the interment being at Springport.
