Marriage of Versile D. Bentley and Gwendoline R. Andrews.
BENTLEY--ANDREWS
The following from the Flint Journal is of interest to many in Harrisville, where the bride was well known in her girlhood days:
An announcement of interest to many friends in Flint concerns the marriage in Saginaw Thursday of Miss Gwendoline R. Andrews, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. F. A. Andrews, who formerly lived in Flint, to Rev. Versile D. Bentley of Lansing, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Bentley of Lansing. The ceremony was performed in the first M. E. church at 3 o'clock with the bride's father officiating.
The bride was attended by her sisters, the Misses Phyllis and Muriel Andrews, and the groom's attendants were Rev. Howard A. Seymour and Terrence Hood. Six sorority sisters of the bride, who ushered the guests to their places, included the Misses Geneva Lewis of Stroh, Ind., Alva Peckham of Parma, Mich., Bethany King of Flint, Marjorie Albertson of Port Hope, Bernice Seymour of Detroit and Mary Huffton of Coleman. About 100 friends of the couple witnessed the service, and 30 attended the reception which followed at the parsonage.
The bride graduated from Flint High School in 1926, and completed her college work at Albion college in 1930, from where the groom was also graduated.
