Detroit--About one hundred fifty friends and relatives witnessed the marriage of Miss Dorothy Ludwig of Traverse City to Mr. Edward Buchner, son of Michael Buchner of Mikado, on Wednesday evening, November twenty-third at seven-thirty o'clock, at Lutheran Church, Scotten and Wolff Aves., Detroit.
The bride was charming in a white satin gown, princess lines, and a short veil. She carried a bouquet of tiny white mums. Miss Sarah Olson of Wisconsin was maid of honor and was dressed in dubonnet velvet and carried rust colored mums. Mr. John Buchner, brother of the groom, acted as best man. Little Edrey Kropp was a charming flower girl.
Miss Sophia Buchner of New Castle, Pa., rendered several appropriate organ solos including "Lohingrins Wedding March". Mrs. John Buchner and Miss Florence Johnson, of Northville honored the bridal couple by singing "Oh Promise Me" and "I Love You Truly".
A reception was held for two hundred guests at Verhovay Home Hall, 8005 W. Jefferson Ave., where a sumptuous luncheon was served.
Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ludwig of Traverse City, the bride's parents; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Buchner and family of Harrisville and Missis Sophia and Marie Buchner of New Castle, Pa.
The happy couple spent their honeymoon in New Castle and Pittsburg, Pa., and will make their home in Detroit, where the groom is employed. Their many friends in this community wish them many years of wedded bliss.
