Mrs. Simeon Reed, aged 42, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Flint, Wednesday, February 7th, of peritonitis. She had been in ill health for the past two years.
Jewell Freer was born in Curran November 3, 1897, the daughter of Wm. S. and Linna Freer. She spent her girlhood and early life with her parents, later moving to Flint, where she married.
She is survived by her husband and one son, Lloyd Drumm of Millington, and two step-children, Berneda and Simeon Jr. at home; Her mother, Mrs. L. Freer; Five sisters; Mrs. Margaret LaBrosse and Mrs. Minnie Williams of Standish; Mrs. Chrissie Shelp, of Pontiac; Mrs. Kate Olson of Detroit, and Mrs. Mabel Furtaw, of Oscoda; and two brothers, Joseph Freer, of Flint and Wm. S. Freer of Detroit.
Funeral services were held in Flint Friday.
