Black River Man
Suicide Victim
--------
Albert Crevier, aged 44 years, was found dead beside the highway in front of his home on the Black River road Tuesday morning. He was apparently the victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The body was bound by Wm. Gillard, 13 who stays at the Crevier home, and had left the house on his way to school. The man had been refrained from taking the gun earlier in the morning but had later left the house, taking the gun with him. Despondency was the only motive believed responsible for the act.
Coroner Mrs. Blanche Karr was called and pronounced death by suicide.
Mr. Crevier was born June 15, 1897 in New York State. Most of his life was spent at Black River. He was unmarried and lived with his brother Adelore Crevier, on the old Crevier Homestead.
He is survived by five brothers, John, David, Dolph, William and Adelore, all of Black River; and two sisters, Mrs. Leo King of Pontiac and Mrs. Lillian Richway of Alpena.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning from St. Gabriel's church, Black River.
