MRS. MAMES H. BLOODGOOD
--------
Mrs. J. H. Bloodgood, whose death on Sunday, April 12, was mentioned in the last weeks issue of the Review, was born May 4, 1855 in Pulski, Osewago County, New York.
She married there and later moved to Harrisville, Michigan where she and her husband, Mr. James Bloodgood decided to settle and make their home. This was in the earlier days when the country was new, and they went through many hardships but struggled on and at last had a comfortable home in Harrisville Township. In later years they sold out and moved to Flint there they lived for awhile. Mr. Bloodgood's health failed and they moved back to the old community where he spent his last days.
Following his death Mrs. Bloodgood lived with her daughter, Mrs. Hattie Byce for some time and several years ago went to Hoquiam, Washington to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Stanke.
She was laid to rest Tuesday afternoon at Hoquiam, Wash. Which, as her daughter wrote, was her desire.
She leaves to mourn her loss, one daughter, Mrs. F. Stanke, of Hoquiam, Wash., one son, Mr. Port Coville, of Harrisville, Michigan; two granddaughters, Miss Irma Byce and Mrs. Velma Dargis, and one great granddaughter, Betty Decker, all of Flint, and a host of friends in this community. Her daughter, Mrs. Edw. Byce, preceded her in death about two years ago.
