CURTISVILLE--A very pretty home wedding was solemnized at two thirty o'clock Saturday afternoon, June 27th at Rev. and Mrs. Byler's of Curtisville when their daughter Dorothy Marie and Mr. Micky Prosperi of Cleveland, Ohio spoke their marriage vows beneath an arch of cedar with American Beauty roses entwined and banked with baskets of cut flowers of roses, mock orange blossoms and peonies.
The double ring ceremony was performed by her father Rev. Wm. Byler.
The bride wore a floor length gown of white satin with flowing lace veil held in place with a tiara of pearls and orange blossoms and carried a white Bible with white lillies and white satin ribbons.
She was attended by Miss Arbutus Bell of Curtisville and Miss Joyce Billings of Hale.
Miss Bell wore a floor length gown of light blue satin and Miss Billings a rose satin gown. Both girls wore corsages of roses.
The groom was attended by the bride's cousin, Mr. Leonard Ankney of Comins and Mr. Howard McMillin of Curtisville.
Mrs. Byler, mother of the bride wore a floor length flowered silk gown. The occasion was also Rev. and Mrs. Byler's Sliver Wedding anniversary.
Miss Donna Richardson, cousin of the bride played the wedding march and Mrs. Byler's sisters, Mrs. Richardson of Mio; Mrs. Ankney of Comins and Mrs. Kneff of Fairview sang "Savior Like a Shepard Lead Us."
Following the ceremony a lovely luncheon was served, graces by a three tier wedding cake with miniature bride and groom on top.
The bride wore a navy blue traveling suit. The young couple left on a short wedding trip. They will make their home in Cleveland, Ohio where the groom is attending college studying for the ministry.
Many beautiful wedding presents were presented to the bride and groom.
Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Kelker of Cleveland; Mr. Fred Garrett of Glennie and many relatives and friends from Mio, Fairview and Hale attended.
