Mrs. Wm. Dingwell

Death claimed Mrs. William Dingwell, pioneer resident of Harrisville early Saturday morning, July 17 at her home here. She had suffered a stroke of paralysis on Monday of last week. Her illness had extended over a period of several years.
Charlotte Ward was born July 1, 1857, at Stanley, N. B., Canada, the daughter of the late George and Esther Ward. She came to Harrisville with her parents when 12 years of age. Her marriage to James Anderson took place May 13, 1876. Two children were born to this union. Mr. Anderson died January 5, 1897. On November 1, 1910, she was united in marriage to William Dingwell.
She was a member of Huron Rebekah Lodge No. 256, of the Past Noble Grand Club, and of Lake Huron Chapter No. 184 O.E.S.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. William Conklin and one son, George, of Harrisville; five grandchildren and eighteen grandchildren. Two brothers also survive: Robert Ward of Fallon, Nevada; and John Ward, Eriemore, Alberta, Canada.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the home, Rev. C. R. Jones officiating. Burial in Westlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Angus McRae, Jack Haley, L. R. Ross, Roy O. Elliot, Roy Kearly and Glen Buchanan.
