More on the marriage of Nelson P. Hickman and Helena I. Freer.
FREER--HICKMAN

Helena I. Freer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Freer, and Nelson P. Hickman, Jr., son of Mrs. Nelson P. Hickman, Sr., and the late Mr. Hickman of Saginaw, were united in marriage at a double ring ceremony at St. Anne Church in Harrisville, Thursday morning, June 17. Rev. A. Narloch officiated. White peonies and bridal wreath were used on the altar.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a navy blue gabardine suit, with navy and white accessories, and carried an orchid on her white prayer book. Her only jewelry was a gold cross and chain, gift of the groom.
Mrs. John Ross, sister of the bride, as matron of honor, wore a light blue ballerina suit with navy accessories, and carried a nosegay of blue baby mums and white sweet peas.
A. J. Packard of Saginaw, cousin of the groom, was best man and Robert Freer and John Ross were ushers.
Following the ceremony, breakfast was served to members of the immediate families at Alcona Beach.
A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents from two until four. The occasion also was the twenty-eighth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Freer.
After a short wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Hickman returned to Mt. Pleasant where Mr. Hickman attends Central Michigan College and Mrs. Hickman will be on the faculty of a Mt. Pleasant school.

Mahalak, Spruce; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lixey and Mrs. Paul Klenow, East Tawas, and Miss Phyliss Klenow, Grand Rapids.
