KUTSCHE--WAGONER
--------
The Lincoln Methodist Church was the scene Sunday, June 26, of the marriage of Miss Joyce Wagoner, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Darwin Earl Wagoner of Lincoln, to Mr. William Frederick Blake Kutsche, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Paul Kutsche of Charlotte and Grand Rapids.
The bride wore a period gown of sheer white mousseline de soie, with a round neck, long sleeves, and ruffled yoke and train. Her three-tier veil was of fingertip length and fell from a pearl Juliet cap of the same embroidered net. She carried a colonial bouquet of white roses and mums.
The bride's cousin, Miss Beverly Pray of Detroit, was maid of honor. She wore a blue taffeta gown in princess style, long matching gloves, and a sheer hat, also in blue. She carried a colonial bouquet of pink carnations and white mums.
Miss Margaret Hemans of Detroit, and Miss Carol Wagoner, sister of the bride, were bridesmaids. Miss Hemans wore a peach taffeta dress, gloves and hat, while Miss Wagoner wore an identical gown of yellow. The colonial bouquets were of white mums and blue bachelor buttons.
The bride's mother wore a brown embroidered net afternoon dress with brown lace hat and a pink carnation corsage and pink accessories.
The groom's mother wore a white suit, and large picture hat, with a pink carnation corsage, and blue accessories.
The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Rudolph Paul Kutsche Jr., as best man, and Stuart F. and Robert O. Kutsche, also brothers of the groom, were ushers.
Alan Wagoner, the bride's brother, was soloist, singing two songs, "I Love Thee" By Grieg, and "Through the Years" by Youmans. He was accompanied by Bruce Pray, who also played the prelude and wedding march.
The church was beautifully decorated with evergreen trees for the background. The altar was banked with cedar and white candlebra and a white kneeling bench pointed up the center of the church. The windows were decorated with cornucopias of white daisies, and the pews with white bows and candles. The altar flowers were white glads and white mums.
An informal reception was held at the bride's home after the ceremony where relatives and out-of-town guests spent the time before the formal reception, which was held at the Lost Lake Woods Club. The bride wore a navy crepe bolero suit dress, a navy straw hat, and carried navy and white accessories. The going-away corsage was a lavender orchid. Mr. and Mrs. Kutsche will make their home in Charlotte, Michigan, for the summer months.
Out-of-town guests were: Mr. William Michaels, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth E. Raycroft, Mrs. A. M. Raycroft, Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Gallagher, Mr. and Mrs. Marshal Michaels and their two daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Raycroft, and Mrs. Fred Bradford, from Alma; from Grand Rapids came Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mapes, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Mapes Jr., Mr. and Mrs. C. Hugo Kutsche, Mr. C. Hugo Kutsche Jr., Miss Bertha Kutsche, Miss Dorothy Blake, Mr. and Mrs. Stuart F. Kutsche and Mr. and Mrs. Robert O. Kutsche. From Detroit were Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Pray and their two children, Mr. and Mrs. Charles William and their son and daughter, Bob and Carol, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Severance and family, and Mrs. Erma Wagoner.
The ceremony was performed by Dr. Frank Fitch of Ann Arbor and Rev. Horace James of Lincoln and Harrisville.
