Laura May Fenton of Pontiac, aged 25 years, died at 1:30 a. m. Monday, August 8, at Mercy Hospital, Bay City. She had been seriously ill since January.
Laura May Goddard was born April 23, 1924, in Mikado, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Goddard of Mikado. She lived there from birth to marriage, attending Mikado school and graduated from Oscoda High School in 1941. Her marriage to Robert Harold Fenton took place in Pontiac on April 22, 1942 and they had made their home there since.
She was a member of the Mikado Baptist Church.
Surviving hare her husband and two daughters, Karen 5 and Marlene 3; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Goddard of Mikado, six brothers and five sisters: Kenneth Goddard of Bay City, Warren, Lawrence, Robert and John Jr. of Pontiac; Elwood of Mikado; Mrs. Grace Gill, Mrs. Velma Kuenzli, Miss Eunice Goddard, and Mrs. Leona Smith of Mikado, and Mrs. Gladys Brown of Pontiac.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o'clock this Thursday afternoon from the Mikado Baptist Church, Rev. Adam Chyrowski officiating. Burial in Mikado Cemetery.
Six brothers will act as pallbearers.
