JORDON--GONYEA
In a pretty church wedding held at St. Rose Lima Church in Detroit at 11:30 a. m. Saturday, Marjorie Gonyea spoke her marriage vows to McKinley Jordon.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Gonyea of Lincoln and the groom the son of the Calvin Jordons of Barberville, Kentucky.
For her wedding the bride chose a golden brown satin gown with fawn color accessories. Her flowers were yellow roses. Her maid of honor, Mrs. Charles Jasman of Detroit, a sister, also wore golden brown satin and a yellow rose corsage. The bridesmaid was Patricia Jacobson, a cousin, and she wore a navy blue gown with pink accessories and a corsage of pink roses.
Attending the groom were his brother James Jordon, and a cousin of the bride, Jack Causley, both of Detroit.
Mrs. Gonyea chose aqua with navy accessories and wore a corsage of pink roses. Mrs. Jordon was unable to attend her son's wedding due to illness.
A wedding breakfast at the home of the bride's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Malm, followed the service. A reception was held at the Malm home at 8:00 p. m. with about one hundred guests present. The table was centered with a five-tier wedding cake and the gladioli were used in decorating throughout the house.
The couple left on a two weeks honeymoon trip to Indiana and Kentucky.
