Death of Norman C. Pritchard.

Norman C. Pritchard, co-owner of Scottys' Tavern, Harrisville, died at 3:00 p. m. Thursday in the Highland Park General Hospital, after a month's illness. He was 46 years old. He had entered the hospital August 24 for treatment of a liver disorder.
Mr. Pritchard had served as Fire Chief of Ferndale since 1940 and had been a member of the Ferndale fire department since 1946.
Born on September 12, 1930 [should be 1904] in Walkerville, Ontario, he moved to Detroit with his parents when four years old and to Ferndale in 1911.
He was a member of the Ferndale Lodge 1588, B. P. O. E.; the Ferndale Metropolitan Club, Spirit 36 and the SPEBQSA.
Surviving are his wife, Marie B.; and two sisters, Mrs. Loren Beach and Mrs. Paul Courtner of Detroit.
The body was at the Spaulding and Son Funeral Home, in Ferndale, until 10:00 a. m. Monday when it was taken to the First Methodist Church where services were held at 2:00 p. m. Burial in White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Pritchard had been in Harrisville on many occasions during the past several years and had many friends here who regret to learn of his passing.
