William Raymond Lindzy, nine year old son of W. Harold and Marie Lindzy of Duck Lake, Michigan, was killed in an accident at Duck Lake, Friday, October 7. The lad was crossing the street, and reaching the center of the highway became confused when two on-coming cards sounded their horns, and he jumped directly into the path of a car coming from the opposite direction. Coroner Dr. Gibson of Milford pronounced death due to a fractured skull.
William was born April 2, 1940 in Pontiac, Michigan. The family lived in Mikado Township for several years.
Surviving are the parents; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Manville, Shirley and Ellen Lindzy, of Milford; and his grandmother, Mrs. Ella Lindzy of Bay City.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 10 from the Mikado Baptist Church with Rev. Clare Gleason officiating. Interment took place in the Mikado Cemetery.
Those attending the funeral from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Mitschell and daughter and son of Bay City; Mrs. Wm. Lindzy, grandmother, of Bay City; Mr. and Mrs. Clair Wiltse of Saginaw; Mrs. Gertrude Dean, grade teacher from the Beaumont School in Milford; Mrs. Rhea Dean Fitch, and Madeline Bauckaert.
