Death of Joseph Douglas Savery.

Death claimed Joseph Douglas Savery of Hubbard Lake, south end, at 5:00 a. m. Saturday, November 5. He died following an operation at Alpena General Hospital where he had been a patient for two days.
Mr. Savery was born on September 21, 1874 in Ansville, N. Y., the son of the late Hosea and Caroline Savery. He married Lulu B. Baker on September 21, 1900 and they would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary next September. He was a construction engineer by trade and fraternally he was a member of the Highland Park Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are two sons, Richard G. of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Joseph D. Jr., of Ferndale, Michigan; one sister, Mabel Inglis of Chicago; a brother, nelson H. Savery of Cedar Lake, Indiana, and four grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p. m. November 7 at the Smith Funeral Home in Lincoln, Rev. Howard Webster officiating. The body was shipped to Chattanooga, Tennessee for burial in Forest Hill Cemetery in that city.
